CompTIA CySA+ Certification Training Course

The CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst, CySA+, certification confirms you can detect, analyse and respond to cyber security threats in real working environments. It is an intermediate certification, a step above Security Plus, and it suits people who already understand security fundamentals and want to move into a hands on analyst role.

The current version is CS0-004, the updated CySA+ released by CompTIA in 2026. CS0-004 reflects how security operations actually work today, with stronger coverage of cloud and hybrid environments, modern detection and response tooling, and the use of artificial intelligence in a security operations centre. The Logitrain course trains you for CS0-004 across its four areas, security operations, vulnerability management, incident response and management, and reporting and communication.

If you began studying for the previous version, CS0-003, that exam is still available for a limited time during the transition, so you can complete it if you are close. If you are starting now, CS0-004 is the right choice, because it aligns with the current exam and current industry practice. Speak with us if you would like help deciding which version suits your timing.

The course at Logitrain includes the official exam fee, so there is no separate voucher to buy later, and you can sit the exam at our Pearson VUE test centre or online.

CS0-004 has expanded coverage of security operations, cloud and hybrid environments, and artificial intelligence concepts.

CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst CySA+ certification is a comprehensive course that aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to prevent, detect and combat today’s ever-increasing cyber security threats.

As attackers can evade traditional signature-based solutions, including firewalls, there was a need for an analytics-based approach in place within the IT security industry. Hence, the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst CySA+ certification became a viable option for professionals looking for Cyber Security courses and training.

The CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst CySA+ Cyber Security course covers various analytical concepts from identifying and combating malware to advanced persistent threats to configuring and using threat detection tools and performing data analysis to interpreting the results to determine the vulnerabilities, threats and risks.

CySA+ sits at the intermediate level, a step above Security+, and suits people who already understand security fundamentals and want to move into a hands on analyst role. The CS0-003 version covers four areas, security operations, vulnerability management, incident response and management, and reporting and communication. The course at Logitrain includes the official CS0-003 exam fee, so there is no separate voucher to buy later, and you can sit the exam at our Pearson VUE test centre or online.

After completing the course, the certified personnel will be able to analyse, monitor and protect the cybersecurity resources of an organisation.

The CompTIA Cyber security Analyst – CySA+ Cyber Security Course is a key requirement for the following jobs:

  • Security Analyst
  • Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst
  • Vulnerability Analyst
  • Cyber Security Specialist
  • Threat Intelligence Analyst
  • Security Engineer
  • Incident Response Analyst

Unlike many providers who sell the course and leave the exam voucher as a separate cost, the official exam fee is included in the Logitrain course price.

Computer security knowledge and experience.

Network Plus, Security Plus or equivalent knowledge is recommended. CompTIA suggests around four years of hands on experience in a security operations or vulnerability analyst role before sitting CS0-004, although there is no hard requirement to enrol.

CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) Study Guide: Exam CS0-004

The course builds the current CySA+ skills across the four CS0-004 domains:

  • Security operations: The largest part of the exam, covering system and network architecture, identifying indicators of malicious activity, using the right tools to investigate, threat intelligence and threat hunting, process improvement, and the use of artificial intelligence in security operations
  • Vulnerability management: Covering vulnerability scanning methods, analysing the output of assessment tools, prioritising and mitigating vulnerabilities, and understanding control types and risk.
  • Incident response and management: Covering attack methodology frameworks, the incident response process, and the techniques used to detect, contain, eradicate and recover from an incident.
  • Reporting and communication: Covering how to report vulnerability findings and incident outcomes, and how to communicate clearly with the stakeholders who rely on that information.

This course is likely to add to the employment related skills of the participants. The skills developed are likely to be used in the course of being an employee or working in a business.
