We have trained over 15,000 IT professionals across more than 1,200 Australian companies. Our courses are delivered by industry experienced instructors (including CCIE certified trainer) and are available in multiple formats: face to face at our Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane training centres, live virtual instructor led training for anywhere in Australia, and in house customised training at client premises.
How long has Logitrain been training IT professionals?
Logitrain was established in 2004 and has been delivering IT training in Australia for over 20 years. In that time, we have trained more than 15,000 IT professionals from over 1,200 Australian companies ranging from small businesses to ASX listed corporations, government departments, and defence agencies. Our longevity in the market reflects our commitment to quality training and real outcomes for our students.
What makes Logitrain different from other IT training providers?
Several factors differentiate Logitrain in the Australian market. First, our instructors are active IT professionals with real industry experience, not just trainers. Our Founder and CEO is also our Senior Trainer who holds a Double CCIE certification #17081 (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert in both Enterprise Infrastructure and Service Provider), which is one of the most prestigious certifications in the networking industry held by fewer than 1 percent of networking professionals worldwide. Second, we deliver real hands on training with actual networking equipment, servers, and workstations. Third, we focus on job outcomes through our Job Ready Programs, which include dedicated career counselling with our recruitment specialist covering resume review, interview preparation, LinkedIn optimisation, and job search strategy. Fourth, we offer flexible delivery options (weekday, evening, and weekend classes) across multiple Australian cities plus live virtual, making training accessible to working professionals and students.
Do you offer online training?
Yes, we offer live online instructor led training via Zoom and Microsoft Teams for participants throughout Australia. This is different from recorded training. Our online classes are delivered in real time by the experienced instructors. You participate in live labs, ask questions, and may interact with other students. Many participants choose live virtual training because it saves travel time while maintaining the quality and interactivity of classroom learning. Our online live-virtual, instructor-led, real-time courses are available for all courses.
Where are Logitrain training centres located?
We have training centres in three Australian cities: Melbourne (West Melbourne, near North Melbourne train station), Sydney, and Brisbane. All centres are easily accessible by public transport and have free and paid parking available nearby. We also deliver live virtual instructor led training for participants throughout Australia, and in house customised training at client premises and at conference centres around Australia. This geographic coverage means you can access Logitrain training whether you are in a major city or training remotely.
What are the course timings available?
Logitrain offers flexible course scheduling to accommodate different lifestyles and work commitments. Full Time (Weekdays) runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. Part Time (Weeknights) runs Mondays and Tuesdays or Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Part Time (Weekends) runs Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. This flexibility means you can choose to study full time if you are career changing, or fit training around your current job with evening or weekend classes. Most courses are available in multiple timing options.
What is the cost of training at Logitrain?
Training costs at Logitrain are competitive and vary depending on the specific course and timing selected. Costs typically range from $1,500 to $3,500 plus depending on course duration and intensity, with some specialist courses (cyber security, advanced certifications) priced higher. We offer flexible payment options including payment plans. Most courses include course materials and access to our training labs. Most of our courses include certification exam; others require separate exam registration. We recommend contacting us directly or checking the specific course page for a detailed cost breakdown before enrolling. We also offer corporate packages and discounts for group bookings.
Are certification exam fees included in the course cost?
Exam fee inclusion varies by course. Most Logitrain courses include the certification exam fee in the course price. The typical cost of vendor exams ranges from $150 to $400 depending on the certification. We recommend confirming exam inclusion when discussing pricing with our team. We will provide a complete cost breakdown so there are no surprises. If the exam fee is not included, we can provide guidance on exam scheduling and pricing. If the exam fee is included, the exam can be attempted within three months of course completion, for your convenience our exam team will book the exam on your behalf.
Is hands on training provided in your courses?
Yes, hands on practical training is a core part of every Logitrain course. We believe you learn IT best by doing, not just watching. Our training centres are equipped with real Cisco routers (ISR series), Cisco Catalyst switches, Microsoft workstations with Windows Server and Active Directory environments, firewalls, cloud lab access, and other enterprise equipment. We also provide trial copies of operating systems so you can install and practice at home between classes. Hands on labs are typically 50 to 60 percent of course time.
What training equipment does Logitrain have for Cisco courses?
Our Cisco labs contain genuine Cisco equipment: ISR routers, Catalyst switches, WLC wireless controllers, and third party equipment to simulate real world heterogeneous networks. We mostly use actual Cisco equipment and use simulators or virtual labs to save time where required. Students gain genuine familiarity with CLI commands, hardware configuration, and troubleshooting on equipment they will encounter in professional environments.
What facilities are available for Microsoft courses?
Our Microsoft courses are fully hands on with dedicated workstations for every student. We run Windows Server environments with Active Directory, Exchange, and Azure cloud access. Each student gets their own workstation to configure servers, manage domains, work with Group Policy, and perform real administrative tasks. We also include Azure cloud lab access for Microsoft cloud certification courses.
Can I get course materials early?
Yes, once you have booked and paid for your course, we can email course materials to you or you can collect them from our training location. Receiving materials early gives you time to familiarise yourself with the content before the course starts, which helps you get more out of the training. Many students use this time to review the syllabus and prepare questions for their trainer.
Can I switch from full time to part time training or vice versa?
Yes, you can switch between course timings (full time to part time, or weekend to weeknight classes), but availability depends on whether that specific course is running in the timing you want to switch to. We recommend contacting us early if you think you might need to change timings. We can check availability and arrange the change before your course starts. Switching mid course is possible but depends on course scheduling and seat availability.
Who are the Logitrain instructors and what are their qualifications?
Our instructors are active IT professionals with real industry experience. Our Founder and CEO is our Senior Trainer and holds a Double CCIE certification #17081 (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert in both Enterprise Infrastructure and Service Provider), which is one of the most prestigious certifications in the networking industry held by fewer than 1 percent of networking professionals worldwide. Our instructors hold multiple advanced certifications including CCNP, CCDP, CCIP, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), ITIL, CompTIA CTT plus, and many others. Most have spent years working in IT roles as network engineers, systems administrators, security specialists before transitioning to training. This means they teach from real experience, not just textbooks. You can meet our trainers and review their full credentials on our Meet the Logitrain Team page.
What is Logitrain exam pass rate?
We have a high pass rate on vendor certification exams, though we do not publish exact percentages because many students take our courses for professional development or to deepen their technical knowledge rather than specifically to sit exams. However, the feedback we receive is that our intensive, hands on approach, combined with experienced instructors and real equipment, significantly increases exam success rates. Many students report passing exams immediately after completing their Logitrain course. The quality of our training is reflected in our 20 year track record and the fact that we are trusted by major Australian organisations including Telstra, Optus, BHP, and the Department of Defence for their staff training.
Is exam preparation included in courses?
Yes, exam preparation is built into the course curriculum. Our instructors design courses to cover exam objectives while also teaching real world application. We provide exam prep guidance, practice questions, and exam focused labs. The intensive hands on nature of our training means you do not just memorise theory. You learn how to apply technology in real business scenarios, which helps you pass exams and, more importantly, perform well in real jobs.
Are course materials included?
Yes, comprehensive course materials are included in all Logitrain courses. Materials are typically provided in digital format (e course materials) and include instructor presentations, lab guides, practice exercises, and reference documentation. Physical workbooks are available at a cost. Materials cover all exam objectives and real world scenarios to supplement the hands on lab training.
Where can I take my certification exam?
You have multiple options for taking certification exams. Logitrain is an authorised test centre for Pearson VUE, Certiport, and CastleWorldWide exams, so many exams can be taken at our training centres. Alternatively, most vendors now offer online proctored exams, which means you can sit your exam from home or office with a live remote invigilator. This is available for Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL and many other certifications. We can guide you on which option suits your certification and schedule.
How do I register for a Logitrain course?
Registering for a course is straightforward. Browse our courses on the website, select your preferred certification and timing, click “Book Now,” and complete the registration form. You will need to provide your details and contact information. Course seats are limited, so booking early is recommended. Bookings close once we reach the required number of students to run the course. What is the difference between CCNA and CompTIA Network plus?
Both are entry level networking certifications, but with key differences. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) is vendor specific and focuses on Cisco networking equipment and technologies. It is deeper and more technical, typically taking 8 to 12 weeks of study. CompTIA Network plus is vendor neutral and covers general networking principles applicable to any vendor. It is broader and takes 4 to 6 weeks. In the Australian job market, CCNA is generally more highly valued by employers, especially those with Cisco environments (which includes most large enterprises). CompTIA Network plus is good for IT support professionals wanting foundational networking knowledge. We recommend discussing your career goals with our team. If you want to specialise in networking administration, CCNA is stronger. If you are in IT support and want broad networking knowledge, Network plus works well.
Should I get Cisco or Microsoft certifications?
The answer depends on your career goals. Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are ideal if you want to specialise in networking, designing, building, and maintaining network infrastructure. Microsoft certifications (MCSA, Azure Administrator, Exchange) are ideal if you want to focus on systems administration, cloud platforms, or Microsoft environments. CompTIA certifications are broader and good for IT generalists or those wanting foundational knowledge across multiple areas. In Australia, networking roles and Microsoft cloud roles both have strong demand and comparable salaries. We recommend a consultation with our team.
