What is ISC2 and what does it stand for?
ISC2 stands for the International Information System Security Certification Consortium. It is a not for profit membership body, founded in 1989, that creates and awards globally recognised information security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP and SSCP. It is one of the most respected names in the cyber security industry.
Which ISC2 certification should I start with?
It depends on your experience. If you are new to cyber security, an entry level credential such as Certified in Cybersecurity or the SSCP is a sensible start. If you have several years in security and want a senior credential, CISSP is the goal most people aim for. Speak with our team and we will point you to the course that fits your background.
What are the prerequisites for CISSP?
CISSP requires a minimum of five years of cumulative paid work experience in two or more of the eight CISSP domains. A relevant four year degree or an approved credential can satisfy one year of that requirement. If you do not yet have the experience, you can pass the exam and become an Associate of ISC2 while you build it.
Is the exam included in the course?
