Want to start an IT support career in Australia?
Build practical IT skills with instructor-led training.
Prepare to get an IT job with our Job Ready Programs.

This program is for people who want their first IT support, help desk or service desk role in Australia. It is an intensive, bootcamp-style program that teaches the practical skills support teams use every day and prepares you for Microsoft and Cisco certifications.
You learn how IT support teams log, prioritise and resolve requests using IT service management practices. You set up and manage Microsoft 365 users, devices and security settings, deploy and look after Windows devices with Microsoft Intune, and learn how Microsoft 365 Copilot and agents are configured and governed. On the networking side, you learn how networks are designed and addressed, how Cisco switches and routers are configured, and how to find and fix common connectivity faults. Depending on your program, you also learn Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS, and how to manage Microsoft Azure cloud services.
The program prepares you for certifications that are well known across the IT industry, including the Cisco CCNA and Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365 and Azure. The table below shows which certifications belong to each program.
In the internship, you work through simulated support tickets for fictional businesses. You might unlock a user account and reset a password, set up a laptop and Microsoft 365 account for a new starter, troubleshoot a printer or Wi-Fi fault, trace a network connectivity problem, or write a knowledge base article that explains the fix.
The skills in this program are relevant to entry-level roles such as IT support officer, help desk analyst, service desk analyst, desktop support technician and junior IT technician.

Fill in the form and our team will be in touch.
Prices: All prices in the table include GST, and the amounts in brackets show the price before GST. Each program can be taken with or without certification exams.
Price with certification exams: This price covers your first attempt at each exam marked in the course table on your program’s page. Each exam has an exam timeframe of three months from finishing the related course. Complete our exam request form within that timeframe, and we will book your exam at an authorised test centre or through online proctoring where available for that exam.
Payment plan options: Ask our team about paying in instalments.
Upgrade to a higher program: You can upgrade by paying the difference in price, subject to intake availability.
Full-time and part-time training: Full-time training runs on weekdays. Part-time training runs on weeknights or weekends, and its duration depends on your class schedule and is confirmed in writing before you enrol.
Fast-track option for prior experience: If you have relevant experience, ask our team whether your training can be shortened.
Instructor-led training: Hands-on training in the classroom or live online. The courses in each program are shown in the course table on each program’s page.
Exam-style mock tests and certification practice questions: These help you prepare for your certification exams and assess your knowledge.
Career GearUP workshop: A group workshop covering current job market trends, job search techniques, interview techniques, and tips for writing your resume and cover letter.
ATS-friendly resume writing support: Many employers and recruiters use applicant tracking systems (ATS) to sort and search applications. We help you write a resume with a clear layout, standard headings and relevant keywords that these systems can read.
Tailored cover letter support: Help to write a cover letter tailored to the roles you apply for.
Remote internship: The internship is unpaid and for educational purposes. Its primary purpose is learning and skill development through practical exercises, simulated workplace scenarios and case studies. Depending on your field, this may include simulated projects or simulated support tickets based on fictional businesses. All projects and scenarios are simulated and are not real client work. Participants are not employees of Logitrain and do not perform productive work or contribute to Logitrain’s business operations. Anything participants create is used only for their learning and assessment, and participants may keep their work for their own portfolio. The internship does not lead to employment with Logitrain, and it runs after your training.
Internship completion certificate: If you complete all set internship tasks, you receive a certificate confirming the length of your internship.
LinkedIn profile review: Feedback on how your LinkedIn profile presents your skills to employers.
One-to-one Career GearUP coaching: Individual coaching sessions focused on your career plan, resume, LinkedIn profile and job applications, which can be used up to 6 months after your training is completed.
One-to-one mock interviews: Individual practice interviews with a Logitrain career consultant, with feedback on your answers to technical and behavioural questions.
Internship reference (email and phone): References are provided within 12 months of completing your internship. Each reference is for one employer, and we only provide references with your consent.
Job search and application coaching: A Logitrain career consultant coaches you through your job search. You learn how to find and assess advertised roles that suit your skills, and your consultant gives you feedback on the roles you choose and helps you tailor your resume and cover letter for each one. You submit your own applications, and Logitrain does not contact employers on your behalf. This coaching does not guarantee interviews or employment.
Certification exam retake (with exams): If you take Program 3 with certification exams and do not pass an exam, we cover one retake of that exam. The retake must be sat within six months of finishing the related course and follows the vendor’s retake rules, including any waiting periods.
Job Ready Programs are non-accredited training and do not lead to a nationally recognised qualification. Vendor certifications are issued by the vendors when you pass their exams.
† Certification exam included when you choose the price with certification exams. Select a course name to see its prerequisites, skills gained and course outline. Prices on individual course pages are for standalone courses and do not apply to Job Ready Programs.

An IT support officer helps staff keep their computers, accounts and systems working. A typical day includes logging and prioritising support tickets, resetting passwords, setting up laptops and phones, fixing email and printer problems, and passing more complex issues to senior technicians. Good communication matters as much as technical skill, because you are often helping someone who is under pressure.
Help desk roles usually focus on answering user requests and fixing common problems by phone, chat or email. Service desk roles do similar work within a wider IT service management process, including incident, request and change management. Desktop support roles are more hands-on with hardware, often visiting users to set up or repair equipment. Many employers use these titles loosely, so read each job advertisement closely.
No. Entry-level IT support is about troubleshooting, customer service and knowing how systems fit together. Scripting skills such as PowerShell become useful later for automating routine tasks, but you do not need them to start.
The CCNA is an associate-level certification with no formal prerequisites. It is demanding for someone new to networking, so our trainers start with the fundamentals and build up from there. Plan for regular study time outside class.
Microsoft has retired its older Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification, and AB-900 is now the entry point to its Microsoft 365 administration path. As more organisations roll out Copilot, support teams are expected to understand how it is licensed, secured and managed, so this certification gives you current Microsoft 365 knowledge from the start.
Many people use IT support as a first step towards roles such as systems administrator, network administrator or cloud administrator. Skills in Windows Server, networking and Microsoft Azure, together with what you learn on the job in your first role, help you work towards those positions.
Tell us about your background and goals, and our team will help you choose the program and study times that suit you. Fill in the form at the top of this page or call us on 1800 159 151.
