To get the most from the course, Juniper recommends a basic understanding of networking, including the OSI and TCP and IP models and basic IPv4 and IPv6 addressing. The exam is not included in the course fee. It is booked and paid separately through Pearson VUE. As an authorised test centre, you can sit the exam with us, at another VUE centre, or online.

Exam format: 65 multiple choice questions, 90 minutes, delivered in English and based on Junos OS 21.2, with a pass or fail result given immediately after the exam. JN0-106 is the current version, replacing the retired JN0-105 exam. The certification is valid for three years.

• Perform initial configuration, including user accounts, login classes, authentication methods and interface configuration
• Configure system services such as Network Time Protocol, SNMP and system logging, and set up configuration archival, logging and tracing
• Monitor and maintain Junos devices using show and monitor commands, interface statistics, and tools such as ping, traceroute, telnet and SSH
• Install and upgrade Junos OS, power devices on and off safely, and recover a lost root password
• Explain routing fundamentals, including the routing and forwarding tables, route preference, routing instances and static routing
• Describe and configure routing policy and firewall filters, including import and export policies, match criteria, actions and unicast reverse path forwarding

What is the current JNCIA exam code?
