The CompTIA PenTest+ certification is built for people who want to do the offensive side of cyber security courses for a living, finding the weaknesses in a network before an attacker does. This penetration testing course prepares you for the current PT0-003 exam and the hands-on work that goes with it, from planning and scoping an engagement through to writing the report that tells an organisation what to fix.
Penetration testing has moved well beyond the old network-and-server picture. The PT0-003 version of PenTest+ now covers cloud and hybrid environments, web applications, APIs and the kind of attacks that target artificial intelligence systems, which is where a lot of real work is heading. You will learn reconnaissance and enumeration, vulnerability discovery and analysis, the full range of attacks and exploits, and the post-exploitation work of maintaining access, moving laterally and cleaning up afterwards.
PenTest+ sits a step above CompTIA Security+ and pairs naturally with CySA+ on the defensive side. It is a practical, vendor-neutral certification that employers across Australia recognise for penetration tester, security consultant and red team roles. The official PT0-003 exam fee is included in the course price, which is not the case with most providers. You sit the exam at our own Pearson VUE test centre, at a local VUE centre or online. There is no compulsory prerequisite, however PenTest+ is intended to follow CompTIA Security+ or equivalent experience and is technical and hands-on. CompTIA recommends Network+ and Security+ or equivalent knowledge, along with three to four years of hands-on information security experience.

The official exam fee is included in your course price. The exam can be registered and attempted within three months of course or module completion at a Logitrain training centre on weekdays during normal business hours, excluding public holidays, or at a local Pearson VUE test centre or online.
The PT0-003 exam has a maximum of 90 questions, including multiple choice and performance-based questions, runs for 165 minutes, and has a passing score of 750 on a scale of 100 to 900.
