CompTIA SecAI+ Course

There are no formal prerequisites for this course, but it is not designed for beginners.

This course is best suited to people who already have around three to four years of IT experience, including at least two years of hands on cyber security experience.

Learners will get the most value from the course if they already have:

• A sound understanding of core cyber security concepts
• Experience working in security operations, cloud security, security engineering or risk related roles
• Familiarity with enterprise systems and common security controls
• Confidence working in technical environments and reviewing risk, controls and incidents
• Knowledge at about the level of Security+, CySA+, PenTest+ or similar real world experience is recommended

Candidates can achieve this certification by passing the following exams.

• Exam: CY0-001 CompTIA SecAI+
• Exam version: V1, launched 17 February 2026
• Questions: a maximum of 60, multiple choice and performance based
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Passing score: 600 on a scale of 100 to 900
• Languages: English
