What are Different Types of Testing?

What are Different Types of Testing?

Types of testing are

  • Functional Testing
  • Non-Functional Testing
  • White box testing
  • Change related Testing
  • Functional Testing:

Functional testing is nothing but what the system actually does. To verify that software applications each function behaves as specified in the requirement document. To check all the functionalities of the application by providing appropriate input and verifying whether the output is matching the expected output or not. The Testers need not concern about the source code of the application because it comes under black-box testing.

  • Non-functional Testing:

How well the system performs is nothing but non-functionality testing. Various aspects of the software such as security, load, performance, scalability, stress, compatibility, etc. refer to Non-functional testing. The Main focus is how fast the system responds to a request which improves the user experience.

  • White Box Testing:

White box testing is also called as Structural, Glass Box and Clear Box Testing. On the application’s internal code structure this white box testing based. To design test cases in white-box testing programming skills as well as internal perspective of the system is used.

  • Change related Testing:

In change related testing we need to evaluate the effects because of changes happened, such as if defect is fixed it is a change is happened so it might effects the other components which are related to it. Also we look for unintended changes like environment or software changes.
