Business analysis is a critical part of any project. There are different types of roles involves in business analysis depending on what type of business domain it is.

Systems Analyst: Does the analysis of how well the software or hardware fits in the business needs. Examine the current system and find out the requirements for new the systems and help to implement and monitor the effectiveness of the system. System Analyst is also responsible for user training and feedback.

Business Analyst: Business Analyst’s main responsibility is to drive optimization of the client’s business processes by analyzing the current state of the business and suggesting specific tactical steps for improvement.

Product Manager: Product manager is responsible for the product’s business strategy by defining its place in the company’s product line and its positioning against competing products. Product manager oversees the product’s functional requirements within the whole product-market lifecycle and prioritizes the launch of latest features.

Requirements Manager: Key responsibilities of a requirements manager are to spot, classify, document, and monitor the necessities of business stakeholders have for the software and review how these requirements are implemented.

Marketing Specialist: Marketing specialists usually work with end-users, research adjacent market trends and competing products, and plan promotional campaigns. They also gather end-user expectations and feedback on a product or service, which places their scope of duties into the business analysis realm.

Business Consultant: The core responsibility of a business consultant is to create new business processes supported an in-depth industry knowledge. A business consultant advises on strategic steps a business should go for remain competitive, follow industry trends, and achieve higher value by implementing industry-wide best practices.

Reporting Analyst: Reporting analyst duties involves design business analysis and data to use. Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to make sure accuracy. Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout. They also, design and create new reports and run existing reports.

Sales Analyst: Responsible for analysis of sales Data for the business. They study and create monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports to identify sales patterns and areas for improvement, comparing actual sales data to revenue projections and expectations.

Test Analyst: Test analyst is responsible for executing tests against a software system before it goes live. They resolve the problems with software that is going to be used every day.

Project Coordinator: Assists a project manager in administrating a project. Their duties involve a wide variety of responsibilities, sometimes collating time sheets, reviewing vendor invoices, capturing meeting notes, and updating project schedules etc.
