Importance of ITIL Certifications

It is generally for people who have some experience in the IT field.  Service Lifecycle module exams would earn you three points, and Service Capability modules would earn you four points. Any combination of modules can be chosen as per the needs of an individual.

ITIL Expert: This explains the ITIL processes and practices used worldwide and covers a vast amount of information. The pre-requisite for this exam is that you should have earned 17 points from the previous exams and also cleared Managing Across the Lifecycle exam.

ITIL Master: It covers all the processes and practices in detail which have been part of the above-mentioned exams and also gives you real-time examples. This can help you with your work. You can identify how the methods can be utilised to make the processes in your organisation more effective. ITIL expert is a pre-requisite for this exam. You need to have a minimum of five years of experience in this field, and the exam is a combination of assessment based on interview and proposal.

These are the different levels of certifications available for a wide range of roles. The ITIL foundation certificate has become a mandatory certificate in all different levels in an IT sector which showcases your basic understanding of how the service life-cycle works and what are the different modules involved in achieving them. The rest of the certificates are intended for people who would want to pursue their career in the same field, and ITIL Master is considered to be the highest level of a certificate that an individual can earn. Possessing an ITIL master certificate shows the individual’s knowledge and contribution to the service sector and that he has understood the concepts as well as utilised them effectively in a business to improve a service.
