The business analysis role means a set of tasks including requirements engineering, data models, process diagrams and design wireframes. Along with those, the business analyst offers guidance and advice to key business makers and expected to have a solid understanding of the domain.
Business analyst training
There are three training companies in Australia, all to deliver courses and certifications aimed to crown business analysts within the different levels there are there. E.g. Foundation, Practitioner, Professional etc.
– Logitrain training company provides training endorsed by Axelos, BCS and IREB among others.
– IRM training company provides training endorsed by IIBA
– DDLS training company provides training endorsed by IIBA
Choosing a training company for business analysis is not only about the specific business analysis certification one school offer over another. It is more about who can provide with the necessary tools to succeed in the endeavour to change career and become a business analyst in Australia.
As part of my searches for an institute and path, I have come across the BAG2 with Logitrain. The BAG2 package is a ‘job program’ meaning, it is package comprises of a list of different certifications needed to give a fundamental knowledge of best practices and technical tools to allow the candidate to pursue a career as a business analyst.
One of the most important factors when choosing a training company is the lecturers’ actual industry experience. Professional lecturers with related experience from the IT industry can help and support with any questions that may arise during the courses, that may be regarding the business analyst position, responsibilities, relationships, hardships and more.
Designed for Australia
Although I have experience working in Australia, I have not taken a course in Australia. It was crucial for me that the school will prepare me not only to align with the most up-to-date best practices but also to the way things expected and accessed in Australia.
To summaries, it will be right to say that different training companies may suit different candidates or students. If one is already a business analyst he might want to take a specific course or courses from a particular accreditation. For the new, to become a business analyst, it is again subjective but will be probably more suitable for taking a comprehensive baseline of knowledge and practices before trying to join the workforce.
